Hidden away in the neighbourhood of Kampong Glam lies a tiny lane housing some of Singapore's most fascinating fashion boutiques and hip cafes. Haji Lane runs alongside Arab Street and is a short walk away from Bugis MRT station.
As soon as you enter the lane, you'll see why so many people gather on this place. The street is so colorful! You'll see art everywhere - it's fascinating.
My sister and I came here on the late afternoon. There were already so many tourists posing along the walls for their OOTDs and instagram photos. To be honest, I just came here to photograph the place. :)
It's not just the walls that are fascinating. If you look around, there's always something that will pique your interest. There's magic on the small details.
We found the famous pop art gallery as we walk along. Photography, though, is not allowed inside the pop art shop. But I think anyone's free to visit and explore the pieces inside.
Honestly, I wasn't planning on buying anything here. But it's soooo hard to hold yourself back when there are many unique and vintage shops everywhere.
I don't know why, but almost everyone I see are on a photography frenzy around here. Like when a cat popped out of nowhere, people were stooping down to take photos of it - myself included. Haha. It probably got annoyed with all the attention.
When I started planning our Singapore trip, I already set this as one of the places we definitely should go to. I've seen so many photos of it all over instagram and other blogs; it's intriguing. This small, narrow street is so picturesque. Aside from this, Haji Lane has a different vibe than the rest of Singapore - like walking along and getting lost in Wonderland. Somehow it reminded me of Calle Crisologo of Ilocos Sur - but only a lot more modern and trendier.
