Singapore was my first international trip. I was curious how other airports looked like. I know our own airport here in our country won't be on par with the others - which is a terribly sad fact right now. And I've been wondering, how our politicians, who travel to other countries quite often, I assume, would not have the heart to at least improve and somehow beautify our facilities. It's really sad.
But enough with the politics and depressing insights. Here are some photos I took from Changi Airport. I love that architecture and nature intertwine; the design does not seem unnatural at all and is really pleasing to look at. If someone will tell me there are small trees inside an airport, I might find that weird. But after seeing this airport, I'm quite resigned to the idea now.
We arrived just in time to see the Pokemon displays around the airport. I want to take home the giant Snorlax. :)
Most of the Pokemon exhibits are in Terminal 2. There are also other attractions but we were not able to see all of them. I'll just do that when I do get back.
What I was really excited about visiting Changi Airport is the Kinetic Rain exhibit in Terminal 1. You'll have to take a few minutes' ride on the Skytrain if you'll be coming from Terminal 2.
I've seen a video of the Kinetic Rain some time ago - it was beautiful. But it's even more mesmerizing when you see it in person. This is my favorite part of Changi Airport.
