I recently discovered that I still have some films left over which I haven't figured out yet when to use. I remember I was bored that day so I plopped the film in the Minolta X-700 to shoot random stuff.
It was then I noticed this black blob/ dirt on my lens. It seriously stressed me out since I haven't noticed that before. I now have a legitimate reason to shoot randomly without feeling guilty about it. I have to check if that dirt will affect the photos.
Film photography may get expensive - with some rolls costing more - and one also has to think about the developing process. This film though is cheap - it's Fujifilm C200.
Sometimes, with the convenience of digital photography, mundane things lose their charm. But when you know the worth of every shot you take and also that anxiousness you'll feel of not knowing how it will turn out, film photography like this makes it curiously interesting.
We used to have three dogs. The male, Tabs, died last year due to unknown reasons. We were really devastated at that time. I'm not really sure if my family has noticed it, but unconsciously, we've been taking more photos of our two remaining dogs. They're not here for so long...
This is Coffee. She likes to bask in the sun and is secretly a reptile at heart.
She also likes to lie down in dirty places. It makes her happy.
This is her daughter, Collie, who always looks perpetually dirty. The gray spots are part of her natural coloring.
My mom grows succulents which I'm planning to propagate. I'm failing at it, by the way.
My brother has a planted aquarium which is coming along nicely except for the algae creeping here and there. He's always had a 'green thumb' and most of his plants are growing.
Luckily, the dirt on the lens doesn't show on the photos (or maybe I'm not noticing it). I had it cleaned anyway so hopefully that's the last of it.
